The 134^th Fighter Squadron and the 158^th Fighter Wing of the Vermont Air National Guard has a long and proud history. In 2019, the unit became the first Air National Guard wing to fly the F-35A. The squadron has been deployed on several recent occasions and has taken honors as the best F-35 Wing at the 2023 William Tell competition. The Green Mountain Boys are tasked with carrying out the Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses (SEAD).
