About the 118th Airlift Squadron

The 118th Airlift Squadron / 103rd Airlift Wing is located at Bradley Air National Guard Base, East Granby, CT, approximately halfway between New York City and Boston.  After more than 10 years of flying the C-130H, the 103rd will begin conversion to the C-130J in October 2026. We are currently seeking experienced C-130J Aircraft Commanders/Instructor/Evaluator Pilots to join the 103rd during this momentous time for the unit. Your expertise will play a critical role in building the proficiency of our exceptional aircrew members as we transition to a new C-130 variant.

Recognized in 2024 as the best airlift unit in the Air National Guard by the Airlift/Tanker Association, the 103rd Airlift Wing has continually demonstrated excellence in the C-130 tactical airlift mission. The unit has deployed to both Southwest Asia and the Horn of Africa, providing critical support to forces in these regions. The unit also plays a crucial role in readiness exercises around the world. Recently, our aircrews supported Exercise MOBILITY GUARDIAN and SENTRY ALOHA in the Indo-Pacific Command region, National Science Foundation Support in Greenland and Operation SILVER ARROW in the European Command area of responsibility.

The 103rd Airlift Wing looks forward to welcoming C-130J Aircraft Commanders/Instructor/Evaluator Pilots who will help lead the unit into the next chapter in our 100-year history of dedicated service to our state and nation.
