Job Description
305th Combat Search and Rescue Squadron flies the fully armed HH-60W which is capable of aerial refueling from C-130 aircraft.
Our helicopter aircrews integrate with Pararescue Jumpers and C-130s as part of the "Guardian Angel" package dedicated to recover isolated personnel behind enemy lines.
The squadron is located at Davis-Monthan AFB in Tucson, AZ.
Pilot selection is highly competitive, and takes place 1-2 times per year in the Fall/Spring.
If submitting a UPT Pilot package, the following documents must be included:
- Cover letter discussing your desire to be a CSAR pilot
- 3 x Letters of Recommendation
- AFOQT, TBAS, and PCSM scores
- Resume including Date of Birth
- USAF Physical Fitness data (only for prior service)
- Recent 3 EPRs/OPRs (only for prior service)
- Civilian pilot certificate/last page of flying logbook (if applicable)
- USAF Flying Class 1 certified physical examination (if applicable)
- University Transcripts
