About the 178th Attack Squadron
The North Dakota Air National Guard is the aerial militia of the State of North Dakota. Its missions are two-fold: The state mission, under the command of the Governor, is to support state and local authorities in civil emergencies. Under the federal mission, the unit is available for mobilization and immediate integration into the U.S. Air Force.
119th Wing Mission is to provide trained and ready Airmen executing world class MQ-9 precision attack and reconnaissance, kinetic and non-kinetic target intelligence production, and expeditionary support capabilities for the nation and state.
The 119th Operations Group is comprised of three squadrons: the 178th Attack Squadron, 119th Operations Support Squadron, and 119th Maintenance Squadron, we conduct a 24/7/365 flying mission. Leveraging our Mission Control Element, Launch and Recovery Element, and our unique training element, we employ expertise from aircrew, intelligence, cyber, comm, maintenance, and our various support staff to keep planes in the air and assert air dominance in ANY theater.
We welcome aviators to apply for a position with us. Although those with prior MQ-9 experience are postured for an easier transition, we’re looking for the right people. We accept applicants with experience in other airframes, service members from other branches, and those without military service but relevant aviation experience.
How to Visit/Rush the Squadron
We invite any and all would-be Hooligans to get to know us better!
Please coordinate visits to the unit through Major Jordan “Bingo” Wobbema (jordan.wobbema@us.af.mil).
